CONSTRUCTION PHASE

LAUNCH YOUR WEAPONS!

Teams are required to:

  • Construct their working Trebuchet,
  • Create their Angry Birds
  • Build their own castles

The Medieval equipment with Angry Birds as the weapon!

The Trebuchet is a medieval siege weapon employed to either smash masonry walls or throw projectiles over them. In The Trebuchet Challenge! teams are challenged to design and build this medieval weapon to protect their “cities” from the invasion of “enemies”.

Members must decide on the projectile mass, the launch angle and the counterweight mass to launch the perfect attacks.

Teams will be given materials to construct the Trebuchet, Weapons – The Angry Birds and castles
Using Creativity and Teamwork, teams have to protect their structures at the same time tear down opponents’ Territory!

  1. CONSTRUCTION PHASE
    • Construct A Trebuchet
      • Teams are challenged to design and build a working trebuchet by using materials that are being provided.
    • Build The Fortress
      • Challenge to design and build their tower or structure within the team’s territory.
    • Develop the Weapons – Angry Birds!
      • Challenge to make launching birds by using jumping clays
