FAcilitator Mr Sasi was very good at leading and reading the room, knowing when to kaciao us further and knowing when we were genuinely tired and needed a break. he regularly checked in with us if we needed more time on breaks. games were explained with good examples and good briefings were had, which reduced any confusion over rules and allowed us to know what to expect, or how complex the rules would be. i also appreciated the semi delegation of roles with enough wriggle room for us to choose, but also enough organisation from the FAcilitator such that it was too chaotic. overall an enjoyable experience that was well structured and at no point left me confused over what was going to happen next.

Once again, we would like to thank the FOCUS team for your excellent facilitation of the CRIS HQ Team Retreat, especially for the team building activities! The team enjoyed themselves immensely and we got to know each other better. We really appreciate the preparation work and thoughtful planning by Bryan and the FOCUS team during the facilitated discussions on days 2 and 3. The activities were really helpful to engage the attendees. While there was some feedback that there was insufficient time for developing the concrete follow-up actions; nevertheless, our CEO was very satisfied with the Vision/Mission crafting and outcomes of the retreat. The video and photos compilation by Heng Zhi were wonderful memories for us.We will definitely recommend FOCUS adventures to our Business Units and hope to work with FOCUS again soon.

Each team will be tasked to build a robot together. After which they will be going through the learning session on manual controls and how to control them. This will allow their robots to be unique as compared to the rest. Their final objective will be to pit the robot that they built against man-made obstacles such as to carry items and moving from point A to point B or to going through a maze or to dance! The possibilities is endless! They will then customise a message for the children using the robots built and have it delivered to the beneficiaries.

Learning Objectives

  • To understand that it is not always the results that matter but also the process
  • Engage participant’s imagination and problem solving skills
  • Increase confidence and commitment levels
Allows greater meaning to giving and helping those in need
  • To tap on each other’s strengths and weaknesses
