The beginning of a new year often arrives with anticipation for new targets, new strategies, and expectations to move forward quickly. Yet many individuals and teams step into January still carrying the weight of the year before. There is a vital need in pausing first, before moving on. To zoom out and experience one’s current cognitive and emotional state from a different angle.
Forest Bathing, also known as Shinrin-Yoku, offers a gentle space for this pause. It is a thought practice of slowing down in nature, allowing the forest to support reflection, awareness, and reconnection. For corporate teams, it is not about performance or productivity for the day, but about creating the conditions for clarity, resilience, and meaningful connection to emerge over time.
As a half-day experience, this process begins quietly at a mini-waterfall at Amara Sanctuary Resort. The essence of this segment is to notice the sound of flowing water and the surrounding greenery. How this helps is by naturally inviting participants to be fully present in cognition, emotion, action and physiology. An introduction to Forest Bathing sets the intention for the session, reminding participants that there is no need to rush or achieve.
A guided mindfulness process follows, helping participants reconnect with their breath, senses, and inner state. This moment of stillness creates a transition from the pace of work into a more reflective way of being.
From there, the group transitions together along the Mt Imbiah Nature Trail. Simple experiential activities and guided reflections are woven into the walk, offering opportunities for self-discovery, quiet observation, and gentle sharing. Nature becomes a common ground where roles soften, conversations deepen, and individuals can simply be present with themselves and one another.
Anchored by FOCUS Adventure’s R.E.S.T. framework—Reflection, Exposure, Self-discovery, and Transformation, Forest Bathing supports participants in noticing what they carry, recognising inner strengths, and considering healthier ways of moving forward. Often, the most meaningful insights arise not from doing more, but from allowing space for awareness to unfold.
Programme Principles R.E.S.T
R – reflection on the process E – exposure to nature and the unknown S – self-discovery to tap into inner strength T – transform to healthier coping strategies
From a HR and L&D’s perspective, Forest Bathing offers something simple yet meaningful: a shared experience that centres wellbeing, trust, and human connection. It is an opportunity to begin the year together in groundedness , attentiveness, and openness to what lies ahead.
An Invitation to the Team
If your organisation is seeking a quieter, more intentional way to begin the year, we invite you to explore Forest Bathing with us. Come as you are. Walk together. Slow down. And allow space for reflection, connection, and renewal to unfold naturally.
We’ve designed a two-phase experience that challenges your team’s engineering skills, speed, and—most importantly—their hearts.
Phase 1: Build & Burn!
Teams go head-to-head in a high-energy workshop to design, assemble, and customize their very own race carts. Once the builds are cleared for safety, the engines (your teammates, blindfolded) roar to life as teams compete in a series of “Grand Prix” challenges to crown the fastest crew on the track.
Phase 2: The Transformation (The “Why”)
The cheering doesn’t stop at the finish line; it evolves. In a powerful twist, teams work together to repurpose and retrofit their race carts into specialized Wheelchair Utility Trailers.
These custom-built attachments are designed to be hitched to wheelchairs, empowering users at partnering local day-care centers to independently transport food, documents, and supplies across their facility.
Why Choose This Activity?
Agility & Engineering: Tests project management and resource allocation under pressure.
CSR with a Pulse: Moves beyond “cheque-book charity” by involving your team in a hands-on CSR experience
Empowerment: Directly impact the daily lives and mobility of individuals in our community.
Ready to Race for a Cause?
We are now accepting bookings for the 2026 season. Let’s turn your next corporate offsite into a day of high-speed fun and high-impact giving with The CSR Build-A-Cart Challenge!
The rhythmic beat of the drum isn’t just a pace—it’s a heartbeat. The salt spray on your face isn’t just water—it’s the taste of freedom.
Welcome to the most immersive teambuilding experience of the decade. This isn’t just a day on the water; it’s a high-stakes cinematic journey where your team moves from the brink of execution to the glory of revolution.
The Stakes: Framed and Forgotten
The story begins in the heart of Kokomo Kingdom. Once a land of prosperity, it has fallen under the iron fist of corrupt overseers. Your team? You’ve been framed for crimes you didn’t commit and sentenced to the ultimate punishment. With the palace guards closing in, there is only one way out: The Great Escape.
Phase 1: The Great Escape
Teams must sprint to the shoreline and board their Dragon Boats—their only vessels of hope. This phase focuses on Crisis Management and Immediate Alignment. Under the pressure of the “pursuit,” paddlers must quickly find their rhythm. Teams learn basic paddling strokes and align on safety protocol. If you don’t sync, you don’t survive.
Phase 2: The Island of Resupply
Exhausted and adrift, your fleet discovers a hidden, unspoiled island inhabited by a mysterious tribal community. Here, participants dock for a well-deserved meal at a floating kelong & restaurant.
Phase 3: The Liberation of Kokomo
Armed with new resources and an unbreakable bond, it’s time to turn the tide. Your fleet will mobilize for a synchronized assault on the Kokomo Kingdom. This is the ultimate test of Leadership and Collective Vision. Only by paddling as a single, unified unit can you overthrow the corrupt overseers and reclaim your home.
Why Dragon Boating for Your Team?
The Drummer
Clear communication and setting the “corporate” tempo.
The Steersman
Strategic vision and navigation through obstacles.
The Paddlers
Execution, stamina, and synchronicity.
Dragon boating is the ultimate metaphor for corporate synergy. In a boat, individual egos must be left at the dock. If one person paddles harder than the rest without coordination, the boat veers off course.
The Kokomo Quest didn’t just teach us how to paddle; it taught us that we are only as strong as our collective rhythm. We left the water as a liberated tribe, ready to take on our real-world competitors. — Jeremy, Recent Participant
Are you ready to lead your kingdom to freedom?
The shores of Kokomo are waiting. This is more than a workout; it’s a transformation. Your team will return to the office not just as colleagues, but as legends.

TP Shuffle: Coordinated Movement Through Patience and Communication
The TP Shuffle places an entire team on a narrow beam or pole where they must switch places without stepping off or touching the ground.
The activity challenges balance, focus and team coordination. Success relies on communication, patience and mutual support. This activity highlights group awareness and reinforces the idea that every movement affects the whole team.
Three decades. Thirty years. A milestone that feels both incredibly swift in passing and profoundly rich in its accumulation of experiences. As we stand at the threshold of our 30th Anniversary, it’s not just a moment for celebration, but an opportune time for reflection – to look back at the meandering path that brought us here, to acknowledge the present, and to cast our gaze towards the future.
The Roots of Resilience: Where We Began
When FOCUS Adventure first planted its seeds, the world was a different place. Yet, the core human need for connection, for challenge, and for growth remained constant. We began with a simple belief: that shared experiences, especially those that push us beyond our comfort zones, are the strongest catalysts for personal growth and team development. From humble beginnings, we set out to craft adventures that were more than just games; they were carefully designed adventures into the heart of human potential.
The early years were a testament to grit and unwavering passion. We learned, we adapted, and we grew alongside our clients. Every programme delivered, every participant inspired, every challenge we overcame added another layer to the foundation of what FOCUS Adventure would become; a community of believers
Navigating the Tides: Evolution and Adaptation
The past 30 years have been marked by significant shifts – in technology, in communication, and in the very fabric of how we live and work. We’ve witnessed the rise of new industries, the evolution of team dynamics, and an ever-increasing demand for authentic, impactful experiences. Through it all, FOCUS Adventure has strived not just to keep pace, but to lead.
Our spirit of innovation has been our compass. We’ve continuously refined our methodologies, integrated cutting-edge learning principles, and embraced new tools to enhance our programmes. From high ropes courses to virtual TEAM challenges, from leadership expeditions to corporate social responsibility initiatives, our offerings have expanded, always driven by the core mission of empowering individuals and strengthening TEAMS. This continuous evolution is not merely about staying relevant; it’s about deepening our impact and ensuring that we remain a guiding light alongside our partners.
Charting the Course Forward: Beyond 30
As we celebrate this significant milestone, we look forward with renewed energy and purpose. The world continues to churn and change, and with it, the needs of individuals and organisations. 7878 Programmes later, we continue pushing new frontiers in experiential learning, and to deepen our commitment to fostering resilient, cohesive, and inspired TEAMS
Our journey over the past 30 years has taught us invaluable lessons about perseverance, collaboration, and the power of human spirit. These lessons will continue to guide us as we embark on the next chapter. Here’s to the next 30 years of FOCUS Adventure – a future filled with even greater impact, more transformative adventures, and countless more stories!
Thank you for being a part of this incredible journey, and keep a lookout for BIG Giveaways, Lucky Draws and MORE in 2026!
Wild Woozy: Trusting Partnerships Through Shared Challenge
Wild Woozy involves two participants balancing on separate angled cables as they move together toward the endpoint.
Success is only possible through mutual trust, communication and physical support. This activity highlights the power of partnerships, interdependence and emotional safety within a team.
Spider’s Web: Strategic Teamwork Through Precision and Planning
Spider’s Web is a strategic team challenge where participants must get through a web of ropes, one person per opening, without making contact. If any strand is touched, the team must restart.
The activity promotes planning, creativity, risk awareness and teamwork. It reinforces the importance of trust and cooperation while emphasising problem-solving under pressure.
Each team will be tasked to build a robot together. After which they will be going through the learning session on manual controls and how to control them. This will allow their robots to be unique as compared to the rest. Their final objective will be to pit the robot that they built against man-made obstacles such as to carry items and moving from point A to point B or to going through a maze or to dance! The possibilities is endless! They will then customise a message for the children using the robots built and have it delivered to the beneficiaries.
Learning Objectives
To understand that it is not always the results that matter but also the process
Engage participant’s imagination and problem solving skills
Increase confidence and commitment levels Allows greater meaning to giving and helping those in need
To tap on each other’s strengths and weaknesses
If you are looking for an exciting challenge with a meaningful element, The Supermarket Race Challenge! will be the program for you!
