THE SCAM-PROOF CORPORATE CHALLENGE!

This teambuilding programme educates participants about the risks of scams and encourages collaboration and problem-solving as teams work together to develop effective preventive measures.

Objective: To enhance the team’s awareness and knowledge about common scams and develop strategies to protect the company from threats.

Format:

Introduction (30 minutes):

  • A brief presentation on common scams targeting corporations (phishing, CEO fraud, invoice scams, etc.).
  • Overview of the financial and reputational risks associated with falling victim to scams.

Team Formation (15 minutes):

  • Divide participants into sub teams (4-6 members per team).

Scam Identification Activity (45 minutes):

  • Each team is given a list of potential scam scenarios.
  • Teams discuss and identify whether each scenario is a scam or not.
  • Teams present their conclusions to the group, explaining the reasons for their choices.

Interactive Workshop (60 minutes):

  • Rotate through challenges where teams engage in hands-on activities
  • Phishing Simulation: Teams receive simulated phishing emails and must identify and report them.
  • Role-Play Exercise: Teams act out scenarios where a scam targets an employee, and they must respond appropriately.
  • Case Study Analysis: Teams review real-life examples of corporate scams, discuss how they could have been prevented, and present their findings.

Strategy Development (30 minutes):

  • Teams brainstorm and develop a list of preventive measures and best practices to protect the company from scams.

The Monopoly Challenge for 3000 pax!

FOCUS Adventure recently made waves by running the biggest Monopoly Challenge program, with almost 3000 participants joining in over one week. The Monopoly Challenge is a highly interactive and engaging team-building activity that combines the classic board game of Monopoly with physical challenges and strategy.

Participants are split into teams, each given the Monopoly App (Designed by FOCUS Adventure). The objective is for each team to collect as much property as possible by completing various challenges, ultimately becoming the wealthiest team at the end of the game.

The challenges test participants’ physical abilities, mental agility, and teamwork skills. For example, participants might be required to solve a puzzle or navigate an obstacle course before acquiring a particular property. The challenges are strategically located throughout the event venue, and teams must work together to determine the most efficient way to complete them.

FOCUS Adventure, a leading team-building and leadership development company based in Singapore, has been running The Monopoly Challenge for many years. The program has been a hit with participants because it combines Monopoly’s fun and excitement with the added physical activity challenge.

BASIC OFFICER COURSE (BOC) 28

Out of the ashes of COVID-19, BOC 28 brought together an outstanding group of officers-to-be, to learn, reflect and demonstrate their leadership, execution and understanding of what it means to be an Officer at FOCUS Adventure.

The Basic Officer Course put our trainees into challenging situations of body, mind and spirit, pushing them to the brink and challenging them to find solutions where none are in sight. The beginning of a journey to explore and define oneself; the turning point to unlock one’s hidden potential, growth & development.

Throughout these 4 days of training, trainees demonstrated Leadership, Teamwork, Adaptability and Innovation, making calculated decisions to achieve favourable outcomes. Navigating through the rough seas, scaling the tallest heights and fighting back against the pressure on their spirit, our newly brooded officers who successfully completed the course also formed an unyielding bond with each other, a fire that burns eternal. Congratulations to our latest batch of officers from BOC 28!

JOHORSPEEDFEST 2022 was organised by the Johor Yacht and Recreation Club (JYRC) and fully supported by the FOCUS Adventure Group.

Asian Yachting Academy (AYA), SeaOPS and CAMP CHALLENGE were amongst the more than 30 entities that participated in the 3 Days Fiesta!

The SpeedFest showcase exciting activities like Seaplane, ATVs, Superbikes, Kayaking and Yachting.

The Sultan of Johor was the Guest of Honour to launch JOHORSPEEDFEST 2022.
