The Rhythm Challenge!

Programme Design
The group will be divided into sub teams, Different percussion instruments will be provided for each team. Each team is required to come out & create team rhythms and there rhythms will be combined with other percussion instruments. As a finale, all teams will put the whole programme together, playing the drum and /or other percussion instruments and singing!

The Cooking Challenge!

In professional kitchens, teamwork is central to success! Take part in The Cooking Challenge! To gain insight into leveraging on your teams strength covering for each other’s weaknesses and perfection in execution. Will your team be able to deliver your feast before the gong sounds!

Teams are required to:

  • Construct their working Trebuchet,
  • Create their Angry Birds
  • Build their own castles

The Medieval equipment with Angry Birds as the weapon!

The Trebuchet is a medieval siege weapon employed to either smash masonry walls or throw projectiles over them. In The Trebuchet Challenge! teams are challenged to design and build this medieval weapon to protect their “cities” from the invasion of “enemies”.

Members must decide on the projectile mass, the launch angle and the counterweight mass to launch the perfect attacks.

The Build-a-Bike Challenge!

Programme Design

  • Participants will be divided into teams and each team will be tasked to build a bicycle.
  • Teams will also be provided with the materials and instruction manuals they deem necessary during the activity.
  • Upon receiving of items and materials, teams will begin to discuss and construct the bicycles.

Learning objectives

Participants understand the importance of work delegation, commitment and team work within a team. Team decision making is also put to the test. With a common goal in mind, teams will be challenged to work within and across teams to solve a series of challenges. Participants will observe that sharing of knowledge and materials is necessary for teams to succeed as one organization.

**Participants will only get to know that the bicycles will be donated halfway through the activity.
